In der Jazz-Reihe des Golem »We Insist!« spielen heute Abend FLETCHER MCCATCH'S HORACE-SCOPE und präsentieren die Musik des Pianisten Horace Silver. Mitte der 50'er entwickelte sich der Hardbop, eine härtere Gangart des Bebop mit Blues- und Soul-Elementen. Der Pianist Horace Silver war in der ersten Besetzung von Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers und war ein prägender Musiker der Hardbop-Phase. Dank „Fletcher McCatch's Horace-Scope“ sind Silvers soulige, Boogaloo-, Brasilianisch- und Dancefloorjazz-angehauchte Kompositionen endlich wieder als herrliche energetische Packung hör- und erlebbar. Vor und nach dem Konzert legt »Difficult Music« Hardbop mit Ausflügen in den Bebop, Free- und Soul-Jazz auf: from the echoes of darkness to the vibrations of the outer cosmic worlds.
